Hello again,
I want to know what you ladies think…
Today, I was with some friends and they would not stop talking about Sephora!
In case you don’t know what that is…wait…of course you do! Lol okay so if you happen to not know what Sephora is – it is essentially a store filled with hundreds of branded cosmetic items in one beautiful store. It is like heaven on earth for some girls, am I right?
So, a few of my friends are “VIB ROUGE” members…that is technically the highest loyalty card Sephora offers for the customers who spend the most and have access to many perks and goodies. I was just listening into the three of them talking about the discount they received and what they are eligible for with this special rewards card. So I heard there are levels to the type of customer you are, I am currently the most basic customer with the most basic card lol…and the perks are pretty cool. I have had the card for many years but don’t spend very much, only when I need something. But what I love about that card is on your birthday you are automatically entitled for a FREE mini gift set which comes with super cute things like makeup, skin care or perfume.
My friends get a lot more things, they get access to more gifts and the more they spend the more additional discounts they receive on products. The perks are apparently endless…
I think Sephora is smart in having this kind of program, unlike shoppers and scene that have only one standard rewards card. Sephora makes their customers want to spend more for temptation.
I personally think their prices are high, although they carry high-end cosmetic brands, you can get similar items at Shoppers or Wal-mart.
VERDICT: If you are super into cosmetics and specialty brands, I highly recommend getting a rewards card. The card is free and you don’t even have to use it very much to get a free birthday gift, however if you buy makeup a lot and are into brands I would say level up and become a VIB member because I hear my friends raving about it.
But if you’re like me – try shoppers or wal-mart for decent products at a reasonable price.
Thanks for reading!
